Porthleven
Close to home is the historic and picturesque harbour of Porthleven. This is an area of outstanding natural beauty and has walks through the Penrose Estate and along the coastal path to Loe Bar and beyond. There are plenty of bakeries, gift shops, pubs and restaurants to choose from.
St. Michael’s Mount
The jewel in Cornwall’s crown, a fairytale island with an exotic garden, ancient harbour, a church and a medieval castle.
Whatever your interest – history, architecture, horticulture or simply a fun day out – you’ll have a wonderful time discovering everything that St. Michael’s Mount offers. Nearby Marazion is lovely too – it was also a filming location for the Game Of Throne Prequel House of the Dragon
St. Ives
St. Ives is one of the most famous holiday towns in Cornwall. Life centres around the harbour where fishing boats still moor alongside granite piers. During the summer months, this town is a blaze of colour, from the harbour to its maze of narrow cobbled streets.
As night falls, St. Ives comes alive – with restaurants, cafés and bars to suit every taste in a truly cosmopolitan atmosphere with always plenty of things to do.
There’s plenty of gift shops, galleries and of course the Tate Museum and Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden.
Godolphin House
Just a short drive away and now owned by the National Trust. This attraction offers an ancient and atmospheric house and garden set within an historic estate.
With more than 400 recorded archaeological features and mine ruins, plus the wonderful views over west Cornwall from the top of Godolphin Hill, this is a site not to be missed.
Eden Project
A stunning botanical garden showcasing plant life from around the world, housed within dramatic biomes.
King Edward Mine Museum Redruth
A fascinating journey into Cornwall’s mining history, exploring the depths of a former tin mine.
Geevor Tin Mine
Another captivating mine tour, offering a glimpse into the harsh realities of Cornish mining life.
Falmouth
A vibrant maritime town with a rich naval heritage. The National Maritime Museum Cornwall is a must-visit for history buffs.
Penzance

A bustling harbour town known for its seafood and culinary delights. It’s a foodie’s paradise.
Port Isaac
A picturesque fishing village, famous for its appearance in the TV series Doc Martin and home to the world famous Fisherman’s Friends shanty group.
The Isles of Scilly
A stunning archipelago of islands, offering pristine beaches, crystal-clear waters, and a slower pace of life. Day trips are available from mainland Cornwall during the summer months.
The Lizard
The most southerly point in mainland Britain, with dramatic coastal scenery. Visit the Goonhilly Earth Station, explore Kynance Cove, or discover the filming locations for the Game of Thrones prequel, House of the Dragon.
Lands End & Sennen Cove
The iconic landmark marking the westernmost point of mainland Britain, with breathtaking views and a stunning sandy beach at Sennen Cove. Also home to Goonhilly Earth Station, which received the first live transatlantic television broadcasts from the United States via the Telstar satellite in 1962
